I walked out. 
 

It took almost 5 years in software sales to convince myself I could do it but in Fall of 2013 at 27 years old, I started all over. I began pursuing skiing the biggest mountains and sharing those stories to earn sponsorships and fulfill a lifelong dream. The deals came quick but so grew my appetite for helping the brands I saw that wanted to be able to do more. I founded Blueberry Island in 2015 to assist brands figuring out how to leverage the social media wave to build their businesses and that worked out too. 

 

Upon discovering a passion for mountain biking before the pandemic, I got more involved with a new client doing some really big things. SNO-GO, a new ski bike manufacturer had solved for the longstanding problem that plagues the ski industry. Skiing and snowboarding are difficult sports for more than 80% of the population and they developed a bike that was not only mind-bending amounts of fun but flipped the industry participant rates on it's head. I walked out again. This time, right out of my own agency.

For the next 5 years, I built the company of SNO-GO Bikes alongside the founders taking everything I had learned from dozens of clients and bootstrapped a movement that will change winter sports forever. We doubled revenues most years and expanded to over 70 locations in 6 countries. 

 

Blueberry Island has also begun a new journey taking ten years of best practices in content strategy to help businesses grow and compete in the highly complex content rich environment of digital media today. Our mission is the same but the format and approach has been overhauled to meet today's demands. 

 

As I launch the next chapter of my professional career, I've also begun consulting with other marketing leaders with a fresh and potent set of skills and insights from an executive level.
